Policy
LifeCare is dedicated to ensuring that all employees, contractors, associates, patients, and visitors experience a safe, healthy, and accessible environment in which to work, visit, and receive rehabilitation services. To uphold this commitment, the Center will maintain — in both written policy and daily practice — the following:
Full compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local building, fire, and safety codes
Readily accessible fire extinguishers and clearly posted fire regulations
A fully functional fire alarm system
Emergency exit lighting and reliable alternate lighting sources in the event of power failure
Adequate staffing levels to ensure safe and timely evacuation of patients during a fire or other emergency
Sufficient equipment, space, and lighting to support the safe and effective delivery of rehabilitation services
A comfortable, safe, and accessible environment, including fully accessible restrooms
All practices and operational processes will be supported by written policies that are kept current. Policies will be maintained in writing, made available to all personnel, and updated or revised as needed. Staff will be informed of all current policies, procedures, and practices through initial orientation, annual training updates, and interim notifications when changes occur.
